393,120 Minutes

When you hear the name Mandy Moore you may think of a certain actress/recording artist.

{Amanda Leigh Moore}

However, when I hear the name Mandy Moore, I think of the (second ;) ) most awesome sophomore AU has ever seen!
{Amanda Renee Moore}

273 days ago my life changed for the better. On August 27, 2009, I met Mandy Moore. (Oh yeah, I also moved to Anderson that day too!) Mandy and I lived two doors down from each other for the following eight amazing months. Second semester we both had 8am classes. Seeing her grumpy, not-yet-awake smiling face every morning before class always brightened my day! Mandy (and Meghan's) room was like a second room to me. I would wander over there many times a day (ever if they weren't there) to take a nap, do homework, or anything else I felt like.
[A lot of people though of Mandy and Meghan's room as a second home. Here is Leslie taking a nap in their room!]

There are so many awesome memories I have of Mandy... here are a few:
-Dinner: Most nights either Mandy would ask me or I would ask her when the other person was going to dinner and our automatic answer was, "Whenever you are!"
-Showering: Mandy and I loved taking showers together. We would blast the music and sing.
-Shower pranks: I loved playing pranks on Mandy. Sometimes I would throw some cold water in and some other times I would try and hug her through the shower curtain... I don't think she was really a fan of either!
-text: One morning my alarm didn't go off for my 8am and it was a day I could not miss. So Mandy called and woke me up so I didn't miss class. Thank you so much for doing that!
- Random Wal-Mart trips: I loved going on these with you!
- Easy Mac: One day Mandy was in my room and she was hungry so I said I would make her some easy mac. So I went to her room and started making it and put bottled water in like she asked me too. However what I didn't realize was that the water I put in was flavored water! That easy mac ended up tasting so bad. (But Mandy still ate it anyway!)
-pictures: Mandy liked to leave videos and pictures on my photo booth like this picture and video....

TOP TWO

- Listening to Justin Bieber
- Looking at baby animals!

I'm not sure how I got started but one day I was looking at them and Mandy came in and started looking at them with me and now we are addicted!

[How could someone not think these are the most adorable things ever!]

I haven't seen Mandy in three weeks and I really miss her. However I don't think we have gone a day without a text, fb message, or phone call. Mandy and I send each other picture texts a lot. I love love love all the texts she sends me!
These are some from school:
[I'm looking at baby animals in class, I can't help myself!]
[My response: I'm looking at them in your bed right now!]
[She responded back with: Don't move I'll be there and soon as class is over and we can look at them together!]
[This is a lovely picture that Mandy and her boyfriend, Addison, left on my phone. I think it was my background for almost a month! haha. Is that weird?!?]

Here are some from the past three weeks:
[I miss you!]

[And the unpacking begins :(]
[and... kitty doesn't like it]
[Mom, i don't like this work out thing.]
[They all baked together. Got burnt. And flattened. Idk which order!]

[Love you :) ]

[My name is Ordonez and I like you naomi. :) ]

[Kitty like the window seat:) ]

[oops] - Those are my socks!

[I know this will make your day!]

Three hundred ninety-three thousand
one hundred and twenty minutes
Three hundred ninety-three thousand
one hundred and twenty
moments so dear
Three hundred ninety-three thousand
one hundred and twenty minutes
How do you measure, measure friendship

In classes, in lunches, in midnight chats,
in cups of juice, In walks, in miles
in laughter in the valley,

In Three hundred ninety-three thousand
one hundred and twenty minutes
How do you measure time of a friendship?

How about Love
how about love
how about love
measure in love
seasons of love
seasons of love

Three hundred ninety-three thousand
one hundred and twenty minutes
Three hundred ninety-three thousand
journeys to plan
Three hundred ninety-three thousand
one hundred and twenty minutes
how do you measure the life of our friendship

Its time now to sing out
though the story never ends
lets celebrate remember a (almost) year
in the life of friends

HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY, MANDY MOORE!
I love you and miss you!
Love, Nao

Summer [weather] is finally here!

Saturday morning I spent doing some painting at my churches new partner church. I’m not sure why we felt the need to paint this church. I mean what’s not to like about make-you-wanna-throw-up-baby-blue as the color of your church?!?  haha. Anyway, now the church is a lovely tanish color and it looks great!

[So my dad "accidentally" spilled white paint on me. You can tell how sorry he is by the look on his face!]
[Yey for ruined pants!]

After that I hung out with Dan for awhile and then headed to church for some Humans vs. Zombies. This seriously is like one of the funniest games ever. There where about 70 of us total running around my church (which is really big) shooting people with Nerf Guns. I really hope we do this again soon!

On Sunday I went to church then headed over to my Grandma and Poppa's for some family time. After that Beth and I headed to the Yacht Club with Krissy and Emilie.
[My favorite part about the Yacht Club is their awesome lifeguards!]

After that Beth and I were pretty tired so we went and saw Date Night, which was pretty awesome.

[I feel like summer is finally here and I LOVE IT]

Bonfire

So tonight I went to a bonfire at Matt's house and had an awesome time. But on the way home I was thinking... why the heck do we call fires in a fire pit a bonfire? Sure the fire part makes sense but what the heck is up with the bon? However thanks to dictionary.com I didn't have to wonder long before my question was answered!

bon·fire

  [bon-fahyuhr]  Show IPA
–noun
1.
a large fire built in the open air, for warmth, entertainment, or celebration, to burn leaves, garbage, etc., or as a signal.
2.
any fire built in the open.
Origin:
1375–1425; late ME bone fire, i.e., a fire with bones for fuel
[Krissy started shooting off some fireworks... or what ever the heck you call these things! Matt had a huge bag so they were being set off all night.]
[Matt getting the fire ready to be lit]
[Krissy helping Matt light the fire]
[Blogspot changed and I can't figure out how to post a video. Click here to see the fire get lit by a roman candle! ]
[When we first got to Matt's we saw the coolest thing: a rainbow, the sun, and the moon... all in the sky at the same time. It was pretty awesome]

Bottom line: Matt Deitrich know how to throw a bonfire like it's nobody's business.

Ice Cream and Girlfriends (Guns and Girlfriends part 2)

After Kaela and I attacked Rosie on Wednesday, we drove to Dairy Korner and then walked around St. Joe for a little bit. I really don't go to Dairy Korner that often but after eating their ice cream I think I may be hooked now!

[The sign above where you order... I was wondering why they charged me 12 dollars for my ice cream!]
[Me and Kaela]

[Rosie and Beth]

[Kaela, Beth, and Rosie]

[Oh, no. Beth had an accident.... poopy Beth! Good thing there are plenty of Mutt Mitts around so Kaela could clean it up!]

[The sun is setting!]

[I love my town!]

Guns and Girlfriends

On Tuesday I went to the store and got Nerf Guns for Dan and me because on Saturday night we are going to be playing Humans vs. Zombies with some friends. Beth and I are now obsessed with these guns. I think this may be in part to having only sisters and never having toy guns before. We have been practicing shooting on each other, targets, and pretty much anything we see (Kitty isn’t a fan of our new guns).

[Beth had a "great" idea to shoot the Nerf guns at skylights.... turns out they don't come down very east!]
[Even Mom likes playing with them!]
[Kaela came over and I found her and Beth shooting at the fan! haha]

[Kaela and I had a great idea to hide in the yard and shoot Rosie when she got to our house.]

[Kaela and I got a little practicing in shooting the window]

[We're pretty BA]

[She is coming!!!]

[The Attack --- Success!!!!]

[Guns and Girlfriends - part 2 coming soon]
