FIPS?!?

The FIPs are here. The FIPs are there. The FIPs are everywhere in St. Joe!
During the ending months of May till the end on August, my town is filled up with what us natives like to call FIPs (Effin Illinois People). They are literally everywhere. They come here, fill up our beaches, and crowd our restaurants. I may complain about them from time to time, however I must admit one of my favorite games to play in the summer is 'native or fip' where you simply people creep and decide if they live here or are a tourist. And I must also admit, from time to time I get mistaken for a FIP, like yesterday.

This weekend my dear friend from Anderson, Mandy Moore, has been visiting me in my lovely town. One of the many things in downtown St. Joe is that every summer they have different animal statues around town, and this summer is dogs. A sure way to spot a tourist is to see if they are taking pictures with the dogs. Well... I guess yesterday I guess I can't blame anyone for mistaking me as a FIP.

Happy Father's Day!

Sunday was a very special day for every Father out there... Sunday was Father's Day. As we do for most holidays, Sunday was a family day spent at my Grandma and Poppa's house. I love spending time over there. I love having Good Ole' family time at G&P's. Sunday was spent with my Father, my Grandfather, Mom, Grandma, Beth, Uncle Aaron, Uncle Mike, Aunt Sarah, Mikey, Perry, and Frankie. After church and a wonderful brunch that my Mom made, we headed over to G&P's and started to afternoon off by playing a game called "washers". It's a lot like corn hole only you have big washers instead of bean bags and you are trying to get the washer to land in a box. If it lands in the box that is one point and it is three points to get it to land in the center cup.
[Yeah! I scored!]

I've got Sunshine

On Thursday night Hilary, Morgan and I were planning to go shopping however our plans were altered and we ended up going down to Sawyer and walking along the beach at Bethany and then heading over to Seth's house to celebrate his 23rd (NOT 26th! haha) birthday.

Naomi's life update:
-On Tuesday I was initiated into P.E.O.
P.E.O background (as stated on http://www.peomichigan.org/node )

One of the pioneer societies for women, P.E.O. was founded on January 21, 1869, by seven students at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Originally a small campus friendship society, P.E.O. soon blossomed to include women off campus. Today, P.E.O. has grown from that tiny membership of seven to almost a quarter of a million members in chapters in the United States and Canada. The P.E.O. Sisterhood is passionate about its mission: promoting educational opportunities for women.

[Here I am with Beth, Grandma, me and Mom. All of which are also P.E.O. members]

-On Wednesday night I played some Tennis with Beth and Alecia.

-On Friday night we went to an early Father's day dinner
